Special place- look under the hood
Most go to Ma-Ra-Kote for the cheap lunch special which is good and a GREAT value, but as a neighbor i like to go and order a la carte. There are many dishes on the menu that are not the same ole "pad thai" and chicken basil" those are fine here but if you venture to some of their original dishes that is when you taste thailand. the busy folks that own it are really really nice too, smart and funny. Like so many things in life and food, the deeper you go the more you get out of the experience. My guilty pleasure is the curry fried rice and the laab gai, though the duck dishes have knocked my socks off too. It's inexpensive, lovely vibe, cute place. Kin Khao baby! (thai for eat rice)
