Description:
Now you see why New York restaurants name themselves after their addressessure the small and subterranean West Village sushi spot's name is named after some 12th century warrior, but when you're up against Nobu and Gari and Bond, what good is poetry if you can't pronounce it? What is not a mouthful, unlike other lesser sushi restaurants on Houston and in the Village, is the fresh fish. The portions are not massive, thankfully, and the quality and selection (for a spare and gritty joint) is surprisingly good. Kohada, komochi kombu and sayori are all pretty unique, as is the relatively low price.
