The place is really tiny, and the tables are really close together, but that is a genuine New York pizza place. A big lunch place for school kids ranging from grammar school to high school, Ray Bono's can be very busy at lunchtime. There are Ray's pizza places all over the city, and many of them claim to be famous -- this one makes no such boast. Ray Bono also serves sandwiches, pasta dishes and calzones, but it is the pizza that has them coming back for more.
