New York Food Tours helps visitors and nearby residents enjoy the ultimate New York food and culture experience from a locals point of view. Our expertise comes from a long history of tasting cultures all over the world. But, in the end, there is nothing like the food in New York City. The food is so good we just had to share it with you. Through the ale at the oldest bar in the city, the unique fusion desserts in lower Manhattan, and dim sum in Chinatown, we show you what makes New York, New York.

We offer unique and entertaining walking, tasting, and discovery food tours to residents and visitors from around the world. Our tours highlight off-the-beaten path eateries that offer local and delicious food tastings. Besides tasting great food, all participants learn the history, culture, architecture, and neighborhood entertainment offerings. Our goal is for everyone to return to these neighborhoods with confidence and take advantage of the wide array of food and fun cultural options.

In addition, we arrange cooking classes, party banquets, and exclusive behind-the-scene restaurant visits.

The founder of New York Food Tours, Ngan C. Chan, grew up in New York City, the Food Haven of the World, and Hong Kong, the Food Haven of Asia. She has traveled extensively around the world experiencing a wide variety of foods and cultures in Japan, China, France, Italy, Netherlands and Austria. She believes that learning about food is learning about culture; that through food you can appreciate a great deal about the way people live.

Having lived in Manhattan for over 15 years, she has firsthand experience in New York Citys astounding fusion of foods and cultures. Despite her success in other respectable professional fields and multiple advanced degrees under her belt, Ngan is thrilled and committed to start a food tour company focusing on sharing local New York foods and cultures with fellow enthusiasts who want to have the most memorable and delicious time in NYC.
