Housed in an historic landmark building (it used to be the Hammerstein Theater, home of the Ziegfield Follies), Italian steakhouse Bond 45 is a mix of old and new Times Square. The Runyon-esque decor, mixed with Shelly Fireman's signature neon and large portions, promotes the image of a BIG, new Broadway that welcomes all Americans to experience New York, New York. Perfect meal here: Small Caesar salad to start, followed by the 8 oz. filet mignon (medium rare) and topped off with the cannoli. This cannoli is not your typical cannoli with dyed green pistachio bits -- its rich, just-sweet-enough ricotta is encased in a cookie-like shell on a bed of fruit sauce and sprinkled with almonds.
