Owner Michael Carpiniello (Lusso) cut right to the chase when he named this casual downtown eatery: Yep, it's in Soho, and yep, it serves Southern vittles. Easy! Carpiniello has tapped Amy Ruth's alum Omar Drammeh to whip up a menu of updated down-home bites that keep things simple and familiar. Chicken? It comes dry-rubbed, buttermilk-fried or paired with waffles. Pork chops, grilled cheese, bacon-wrapped meat loafconsider the menu a refresher in Comfort Food 101. And if you're wondering that those funky metal shapes are on the redbrick walls, it's a cast-iron map of the nabe. JUST in case you've had one too many glasses of their Huckleberry Fizz (huckleberry-infused vodka with blueberries, raspberries and lemon) and need a little help finding your way back to the subway.
