Doug E.'s got it goin' on! The old-school master of beat boxing is behind this you-know-what-and-what join in Harlem, where you can sometimes catch a glimpse of the man himself. But mostly, you only catch a waft of the succulent, salty, spiced chicken being fried and the cinnamon-tinged waffles cooking. With only a few tables and a shiny metal counter to sit at, the cash-only place mainly caters to takeout diners, and they don't even have dishes or beverages beyond canned soda. In the bright-blue-and-chrome-themed eatery, chicken is king, and the Human Beat Box keeps his menu simple by serving it on the bone and curried, jerk, barbecued or fried. Of course, you can also get a steaming waffle with fish or shrimp neatly placed next to it, along with savory fixins like collard greens, candied yams or mac 'n' cheese.
