Description:
Victor del Corral left Cuba with his family in 1957. His destination, Nw york city. as most newly arrived immigrants, he took a series of odds jobs all over the city to provide for his family. His goal, was to establish a Cuban restaurants in the heart oh Manhattan and put Cuban-cuisine on New York's culinary map.
In 1963 with the help of his wife, Eloina Ruiz de Ugarrio he realized his dream opening the doors of Victor's Cafe on Columbus Aveneu and 71st Street. In a short period of time the restaurants became one of the most popular dining spots in the city. In 1980, the restaurants moved to the spacious new quarters in the theater district, where it has continued to capture the hearts of New Yorkers and the theaters goers for 40 years.
