Description:

Wine barrels, bottle-lined shelves, candles and wooden beams evoke the "kellari" (Greek for wine cellar) in this modern and upscale Greek restaurant's name ("parea" refers to a gathering of friends). The rustic Crate & Barrelcolored Flatiron space, formerly the home of Iron Chef Michael Symon's Parea, also happens to be made almost entirely from recycled materials. The food is also organically conscious, offering an island of mezedes (small-plate apps) and rock-the-boat specialties like Yesterday's Lamb, braised rabbit and slowly baked rooster.
