Description:

Named after a medieval town on the north shore of Lesvos, this upscale Greek taverna has been a Midtown mainstay for years. Catering to both the business lunch and theater crowds, the artifact- and vintage photo-adorned dining room is warm and busy. Though it is part of a more globally-minded Livanos restaurant group (Oceana, Italian Abboccato, City Limits diner), Jim Botsacos' steers a focused and progressive kitchen in Mediterranean watersregional classics include Arni Yuvetsi (braised lamb shanks with orzo and kefalotyri cheese) and Garides Saganaki (head-on prawns), both baked in a clay pot. And there's no downtime at halftimecome for Kerasma, a post-lunch pre-dinner comp tasting at the bar.
