If Flavaboom is any indication, the future of frozen yogurt is bright. Designed by New Yorkbased modern furniture company Dune, the Flatiron dairy joint looks like a science-lab-themed club, with LED-studded walls housing multiple stations for pulling your own fro-yo. A far cry the vanilla-choco-swirl options of college cafeteria yore, Flavaboom does 10 flavors of the non-fat soft stuff, plus a DIY arrangment of 40 toppings. For those inclined to turn their fro-yo into a meal, there's also an espresso bar and a selection of baked goods.
