V estry Wines opened in March 2007 in the prestigious North Tribeca neighborhood of New York City as a retail wine store focusing on small producers from California, France and Italy. Our highlights include the Rising Stars of California winemaking, the hidden gems from lesser known appellations of France and the myriad of indigenous grape varieties that are making a huge impact on the quality of Italian wines.

While we pride ourselves on serving our local Tribeca neighborhood with same day walk-over deliveries and complimentary in-store tastings, our goal is to service all of New York City with our selection of fine wines and spirits as well as wine lovers from all across America who are looking for a unique product that delivers on quality just as much as it delivers on price.

Started by four friends and business partners to strengthen their love of wine at wholesale prices, Vestry Wines is staffed by a laid-back team of professionals and sommelier's that enjoy drinking wines as much as talking about them.

General Manager, Jim Kuhner, comes to Vestry Wines from the Retail world of high-end Italian wines and a quick stint on the Wholesale side representing some of the most delicious yet unknown Italian wines being represented outside of Italy. It's Jim's resolve to share his love of the underdog with all who step up to the Tasting Bar to try one of the many new finds lining our shelves.

Consulting wine inspiration, Shelley Lindgren, is present in spirit every day at Vestry Wines. Shelley resides in San Francisco as owner and wine director of acclaimed restaurant A16, located in the Marina district of San Francisco that specializes in the regional cuisine of Campania in Italy and the true Pizza Napoletana. While Shelley's current forte are the wines from Southern Italy and California, her impeccable resume as Sommelier at some of San Francisco's top restaurants is difficult to discount. Shelley's friendship with all involved at Vestry Wines runs deep and her knowledge of palate-friendly wines was crucial for us to create a selection of wines that would stand out in a crowd.
