Around the corner from the U.N. at 42nd Street and Second Avenue in Manhattan, Sussex Wines & Spirits is one of the oldest Wine & Spirit shops in New York City. Our wines and spirits inventory is one of the largest and most eclectic of any major retailer in the city. We have a wine and food matching computer that not only helps customers pairing decisions, but its data base, constantly updated, contains wine descriptions as well as critics ratings for all of the shops inventory.

Additionally, it has a spirits section along with recommendations for mixers and other accouterments to help with event planning. Our accessories department offers choices of ice buckets, hand blown glass, corkscrews, decanters, carafes and many other interesting items. We have an extensive collection of antique wine related items, such as goblets, corkscrews and serving pieces. With all of that said, the most important aspect of the shop is the staff. All, friendly and knowledgeable and happy to answer questions or make suggestions. The shop is consumer friendly with an atmosphere of unobtrusive assistance and an ambiance to make any and all feel completely comfortable.
