Paul Taylor and five friends performed Mr. Taylors Jack and the Beanstalk on May 30, 1954, marking the debut performance of the Paul Taylor Dance Company. Since that time, just over 150 dancers have been part of the Taylor Family, as members of PTDC and/or Taylor 2. Guest artists have included Mikhail Baryshnikov, Suzanne Farrell, Peter Martins and Rudolf Nureyev.
