Description:

The New York Chinese Cultural Center is a not-for-profit arts organization that teaches and preserves traditional Chinese performing arts while nurturing innovations for diverse audiences across the United States. Core programs support artists of the highest caliber and provide vital links between communities and across generations. The Center is supported, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. Major corporate and foundation support is provided by the Asian American Arts Alliance TAO program; Carnegie Corporation; Charles Lawrence Keith and Clara Miller Foundation; Charles B. Wang Foundation; Computer Associates International, Inc.; Independence Community Foundation; JP Morgan Chase Foundation; Citigroup Foundation; Emigrant Savings Bank; Lila Wallace Theater Fund at Community Funds; New York Arts Recovery Fund administered by the New York Foundation for the Arts; New York Community Trust; Phaedrus Foundation; Richmond County Savings Bank and William T. Grant Foundation. Additional support comes from numerous business and individual friends. We also gratefully acknowledge assistance from the World Trade Center Business Recovery Grant Program and the Office of the Manhattan Borough President.
