Description:

The American Folk Art Museums branch location at 2 Lincoln Square, on Manhattans Upper West Side across from Lincoln Center, was the institutions home prior to the opening of its acclaimed West 53rd Street building. The museum moved into this former public arcade in 1989 to great fanfare and enjoyed more expansive exhibition space than in any of its previous galleries. Today, the Lincoln Square branch features exhibitions of traditional folk art and works by contemporary self-taught artists, a large book and gift shop, and regular events to complement the community it serves. Admission is free.
