As the nation dug its way out of the great depression in 1930, Nat Sherman was busy opening New York's' finest tobacco shop. A creative merchant and natural salesman, hallmarks that still define the company, his success was quickly established.

Recently, under direction of a third generation of Shermans, a new state of the art cigarette manufacturing plant was built on a 7 1/2-acre sight in Greensboro, N.C. replacing the facility that produced right in the heart of Manhattan. At the same time, the executive offices were expanded and moved to Fort Lee, NJ. adjacent to the George Washington Bridge and within sight of the city.
