Sei Tomoko Salon O2, a Japanese place in the East Village. It's part of the family of Sei salons in the city: Sei Tomoko on E. 13th Street between 2nd and 3rd.

It's a hip space with gorgeous hardwood floors and exposed brick. They genuinely appreciate their customers, yelling out "Hello!" and "Thank you very much!" when you come and go and offering water or hot tea once you're seated.

Their hair and face products are great. The shampoo and gel make your hair shiny and smooth.

The cost is fairly expensive, but the experience and results are worth it.
