Lincoln Center is the worlds leading performing arts center. Located on 16.3 acres in New York City, the Lincoln Center complex comprises 12 Resident Organizations, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is one of those 12.
LCPA is one of the twelve Resident Organizations of Lincoln Center, and serves three primary roles:

* LCPA is the worlds leading presenter of performing arts.
Its series include American Songbook; Great Performers; Lincoln Center Festival; Lincoln Center Out of Doors; Midsummer Night Swing; and the Mostly Mozart, Tully Scope, and White Light Festivals. In addition, Emmy Award-winning Live From Lincoln Center telecasts, the only series of live broadcast performances on American television today, extend the reach of Lincoln Center to millions of Americans nationwide.

These Lincoln Center programs, together with educational activities, groundbreaking outdoor video installations, pre-and post-concert discussions, tours, and community outreach, present some 5,000 events by accomplished artists and educators from around the world each year.
* LCPA is an international leader in arts and education and community relations, taking a wide range of activities beyond its concert halls through its educational arm, Lincoln Center Institute (LCI), as well as offering arts-related symposia, family programming, and other community initiatives. LCIs programs serve more than 200,000 students enrolled in over 400 schools grades K12 throughout the metropolitan area and across the nation. In addition, educational institutes in Australia, China, Mexico, and South Africa incorporate the Institutes model into their curricula. In the community, LCPA expands it presence with a host of initiatives to make the arts more accessible, including Meet the Artist, the Young Music Makers community band program, and Programs and Services for People with Disabilities.
* LCPA is manager of the Lincoln Center campus, providing support and services for the Lincoln Center complex and its Resident Organizations. LCPA maintains and improves the complexs facilities, coordinating such services as the security and parking for the benefit of millions of patrons, visitors, and employees annually. In addition, LCPA is leading a series of major capital projects on behalf of the resident organizations across the campus.
