It was 1984 when Rock, one of the founders of Cut, Shampoo and
Entertainment, better known as Dramatics NYC made his most important career move. Once an aspiring actor, he decided to bring his theatrical training into the salon industry. A place to have fun, look good, feel better and be entertained by characters such as Elvis, Navy, Clover, and a host of others. New Yorkers loved the concept allowing Dramatics NYC to flourish into 9 very entertaining hair
salons. Realizing a dream is not an easy process, and without the
support and encouragement of his right hand gal, Rio, he would never
have been able to achieve his vision.

Rio is the real rock of Dramatics and Rock knows it! He thanks
his lucky stars that Rio, his bride and best friend for over 30
years, has been by his side. Safari, Rock and Rio's finest
production, started her involvement with Dramatics after
college. Beginning as a receptionist, she worked her
way up to salon manager and is now the general manager of all 9 salons. She worked hard and
learned the business from the inside out and is an integral part of this family affair.
