After twenty years as a spa manager and seven as an esthetician, native Brooklynite Claudia Parrilla got tired of working at big spas that were more worried about their bottom line than their clients, so in 2004 she branched out on her own.

Setting her own schedule, Claudia is able to take time with her clients, and become well acquainted with both them and their skin; as a result, it's common for her facials to last more than an hour and a half. Without advertising, her one-woman business has become a well-kept skincare secret.

After 6 years working solo, Claudia has joined the team at Bloom Beauty Lounge, who was recently voted New York's friendliest salon. So, it is a perfect fit!

Cloud 9 Skin Spa still offers microdermabrasion,dermaplaning, Intense Pulsed Light hair removal, photofacials, and even spray tanning, all from a private Feng-Shui'ed treatment room.

A talker who likes to both share and listen, Claudia's not afraid to express her satisfaction by oohing and ahhing when she extracts a really good one. For those who like chitchat, there can be an upside: Claudia once set up two of her clients, who now share both an esthetician and a home.
