Tucked away on the 3rd floor of the famous Hotel Chelsea, April Barton founded Suite 303 and has been cutting it up since 1995 without so much as a sign to lure outside customers. With original paintings adorning the walls, and no barber chairs, walking into Suite 303 is like stopping by to see a friend, and walking out with great hair.

April Barton is the stylist of choice for music, film, and fashion. Barton styles A-list celebrities like Matthew Modine, Adrien Brody, Jake Gyllenhaal as well as U2, Willie Nelson and Elvis Costelloto name a few. Suite 303 is still the best kept secret in NYC.

"When I opened Suite 303 I didn't want to be mass-market," says Barton, "I needed room to grow as an artistand I have. I've created a really great niche for myself in the industry. We're not on automatic pilot. We want to understand where you're coming from whether you're a rock star or a stay-at-home Mom."

Downtown artists have been known to stop by for a trim in exchange for a drawing or a few songs strummed on an acoustic guitar. If you're an actor or a writer, the stylists at Suite 303 will read your script to better grasp your character's image.
