Eugene Jacquescoley is a California native and Nate Dogg's cousin. He currently resides in New York and Toronto. His primary influences are Neil Diamond, Bruce Springsteen and Tracy Chapman. Can This Black Sing The Blues was inspired by Hurricane Katrina. Forthcoming singles include, Armadillo, Heartlight, From Tobacco Road to Park Avenue, Nothing Man and Pacific Coast Highway. Can This Black Man Sing The Blues EP is due to be released in October 2011. The album Armadillo is due to be released in February 2012. His second album 'Soweto (Guitar On My Back)' is slated for an early 2013 release.
